The On-going Del-York Creative Academy presents the school’s faculty and sponsors to the members of the press in an event that clearly pushes forward the vision and plans of the academy.
Speaking at the event, Grant Housley, a producer and director, known for One Dark Night (2018), Going for Broke (2009) and The Angel of St. Catherine’s Academy (2017); who is the Lead Instructor at the academy expressed satisfaction in the “hunger and receptiveness of the students” vis-a-vis the excitement of the faculty to impart knowledge. He leads a team of 24 film industry subject experts from Califonia and New York to this year’s sessions.

The star sponsor for the Del-York Creative Academy 2019 is GAC Motors. Addressing the press, the Chairman of CIG Motors, distributors of GAC Motor cars in Nigeria, Chief Diana Chan, said: “We do not want to simply eat the fruits of the creative industry in Nigeria, we want to also be part of planting the seed and watching the industry grow”.
Mr Linus Idahosa, the founder of the initiative laments the under-capitalisation of the Nigerian creative industry despite its capacity to be of immense economic value to the country. He also appreciates the sponsors and partners for the takeoff of the 2019 session. He is particularly excited about Warner Bros and USCDornsife’s strategic partnership on the project.
