The 2019 edition of the Lagos Comic Convention opens today at the Alliance Française de Lagos / Mike Adenuga Centre and the Silverbird Galleria, Victoria Island. The event is expected to run from September 19th to 21st, 2019.
For this year’s edition, there will be 16 panel-sessions with speakers from around the world who will be talking on key issues around the African creative industry. Aside from the panel sessions, master classes will be going on concurrently. There will be a story plotting master class, a film directing master class and a VFX master class.
The edition which is tagged Fearless Lagos Comic Con 2019 will symultaneously hold at the Alliancs Francaise/Mike Adenuga Centre, Osborne, Ikoyi and Silverbird Galleria, Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos. In both venues there will be exhibitions of comics, books, animations and games. Cosplays will also take place at both venues. At the Silverbird Galleria, computer, mobile and board game competitions will be taking place.
